The adventure gaming veterans at Telltale Games have not yet worn themselves out, apparently. After a hugely successful 2014 and another big year ahead in 2015, the studio has revealed today their latest project, Telltale Games.

Fans of the studio’s work are no strangers to Telltale’s affinity for adapting original narratives in the worlds of established properties. Their past titles include working with huge and cherished franchises such as Back To The Future, The Walking Dead, Jurassic Park, and their most recent hit, Game of Thrones. “We love taking a world that people are already familiar with and leaving our own mark within the overarching universe of that story,” said PR Director Job J. Stauffer. “So when we were looking to adapt another hot, trending property, we realized one of the best we haven’t touched yet is actually our studio itself.”

According to Stauffer, the familiar “Telltale formula” will be present in Telltale Games. Players will be presented with branching plotlines and huge choices that will have lasting impact. “You’ll have to decide which licensed properties to acquire the rights to and which ones you choose may be different than those of your friends and you can see how each branch takes you down a very different path.”

He added that some of the properties players can choose to adapt in episode one are LOST, Star Wars, American Horror Story, and Fox’s Batman prequel, Gotham. The small but successful studio hopes to use its unconventional approach to story development to deal with themes like what it means to be a small but successful studio utilizing unconventional story development.

You’ll have to navigate your way through all parts of game development like promotions, QA, voiceover work, and post-release support. How the game is received critically and commercially will come down to which game you develop and how well you work with your team to finish it.

Telltale Games: A Telltale Games Series will be released digitally in five episodes starting in 2015. The studio said not to expect the first one until they wrap up their current story threads with Game of Thrones and Tales From The Borderlands.
